Mind Development Tips – The Law of Relativity
In order To win with Money, Health or Relationships you have to use this law to your advantage.
I will start today’s blog with a few questions. Please answer them
- Are you short or tall?
- Is your house big or small?
- Is your salary large or merge?
- Is today hot or cold?
What is the point? To answer these questions you must relate the things in question to something else. Comparison is the order of the universe and in most cases we use it to our disadvantage.
I am sure you have heard following quotes:
- Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit. – Napoleon Hill
- I complained that I had no shoes, until I met someone who had no feet
What about this:
A story is told of two guys who went to pray at a church. One wanted God to give him 20 dollars and the other wanted 20 million dollars. As they were praying the guy who wanted 20 million dollars overheard the prayer for the guy who wanted 20 dollars. He tapped the guy on his shoulders, gave him 20 dollars and asked him not to bother God with such small requests. This story illustrates the law I am talking about.
Or
Have you ever been sick and you go to hospital to get treated but once in the hospital you find others who are sicker than yourself. This hits you so hard that you decide to go home without seeing the doctor and you get well in the process for you find that your situation is not as bad as you thought?
Well the law of relative says:
- Nothing we experience is fundamentally good or bad.
- All things in the universe are relative.
- Any law that is a law must be relative to all other laws.
Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I want you to look at the drawing below and ask yourself, Is box B large or small?
WHAT IS YOUR ANSWER? I know you are saying B is larger that A and B is smaller than C. Now, I want you realize that B is just IS and that is the truth. You make B what it is by virtue of how you work with this law.
If you use this law in the right way, you will achieve the results you want. YOU WIN. Even in the thick of things, when everything looks hopeless, stop and look for the good and you will get it.
Learn to focus on your strengths and not your weakness since it is a fact of life that some people are better than us in doing certain things.
When you use this law in your favor, your confidence goes up and your results improve. This will allow you to appreciate and be grateful for your own uniqueness and greatness.
Summary:
- Nothing is good or bad, big or small until you (I/we) relate it to something
- Practice relating your situation to something much worse and yours will always look good
